The Colorado Division of Securities invites Coloradans to live stream the virtual event “Investing: A Beginner's Guide for Getting Started” on Friday, August 27 at 11 am MST

DENVER, CO – August 25, 2021  - The Colorado Division of Securities (the “Division”) is partnering with the Investor Protection Trust and PBS Books to produce the Boomers to Zoomers series which consists of 12 free monthly virtual live stream events and recordings to help the public learn about saving and investing. 

This month’s event, “Investing: A Beginner’s Guide for Getting Started,” will focus on those who are new to investing and looking for guidance on how to get started.  This virtual event will be live-streamed this Friday, August 27, 2021, on DORA’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Dora.Colorado.gov/) at 11 am MST. 

After the event, a free recording will be available on the Division’s website and pbsbooks.org/when-im-65, along with a variety of tools and resources for savers and investors of all ages and at all stages of life. This event is the 6th out of the 12-part series.

The Boomers to Zoomers: Building a Secure Path to Retirement is a year-long series that comes out on the fourth Friday of each month. The series provides quality, objective financial information needed by all Americans to make wise and safe investment decisions at every age and every stage of life. The Boomers to Zoomers virtual events feature timely topics, financial experts, motivational stories, and practical information viewers can use immediately to prepare for long-term financial security. Boomers to Zoomers is part of When I’m 65, a program of the Investor Protection Trust in partnership with Detroit Public Television. When I’m 65 takes a generational look at retirement and focuses on the actions people should take at every age to prepare for a secure retirement.
