Denver - The Colorado Division of Securities is partnering with the Investor Protection Trust and PBS Books to produce “Financial Fraud: Disguises to Watch Out For,” a virtual event to livestream on DORA’s Facebook page, (https://www.facebook.com/Dora.Colorado.gov/), on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. 

Losing your retirement savings and investments to scams and fraud can be devastating. Some disguises are easy to spot, while others trip up even the most seasoned traders. Learn how to recognize, report and protect yourself from all types of financial fraud.

The event will be interactive, allowing participants to ask questions, submit comments and get answers in real time. After the livestream, the episode will be available on the Colorado Securities Division’s website and on pbsbooks.org/When-I’m-65 along with a variety of tools and resources for savers and investors of all ages and at all stages of life.

The Colorado Division of Securities regulates the securities industry in Colorado in order to protect investors and ensure confidence in the securities market while avoiding unreasonable burdens on the marketplace.  The Division licenses securities professionals, enforces securities law violations, and helps Coloradans become more informed investors.
